Finally!

So, I finally found someone to teach about our web 2.0 progress. A cousin of mine, Jessica, teaches a class to children in a catholic church. I realize that she is not exactly a teacher that everyone else chose. However, MJ was gracious enough to accept my idea and so I would like to teach Jessica more about the internet. Since she teaches children, I thought that it might be a good idea, to begin with delicious and read some articles about Catholicism. Many of the articles had much potential; as well as a beneficial lessons within them. I hope that she loves them and hopefully obtains at least some information from the articles. We will try another website towards the end of the week and see which one she enjoys most. We shall find out as well, which one the children prefer, when she presents the information to them on Sunday morning.

This is awful!

So, I have not written in a while (because I haven't had a teacher). Even though we are supposed to have one by now, everyone that I have asked does not want to do it. Personally, I think it is so late in the semester that it really does not matter anymore. I hope that doesn't affect me too much. However I would like to ask MJ if I could teach my cousin, who teaches a Sunday School class. That might the only person who has time and would accept my proposal. Other than that I did the evaluation for my World 203 class. Our final presentation has been done. I am confuse about what exactly will count as our final, I just heard her say that we can bring in food. I hope that my grade does not suffer much since the last time she emailed everyone. I understand more of the concept of this class now, but I still feel that the class is unorganized and some of the assignments are off the wall! Anyway I will update soon on the teacher mentoring thing, but for now I would just like to satisfy the blog portion of my grade and express how I feel about this class. Thanks~

So, this week we were supposed to hear back from our teacher and he never wrote back so we can't teach them about these web 2.0 sites. Which, to be honest, I do not even know how to operate! I feel that this class is really disorganized and it can get confusing with all the groups that we have. For example, our global group has to present this tuesday and our technological group has to present this tuesday. I feel like we could get it done sufficiently, but since we only meet one time, it makes it hard for everyone to pick the right time to meet and for everyone to be there. However, I am trying to think positive about the class or else I am not going to get anywhere. For instance, our groups have been emailing and meeting a lot lately, and I can't say I mind it, I have met some nice people. Hopefully, we can just work together as a group and try to understand what is going on. P.S. I like that our TA was so helpful to us during this presentation/project because I would not have known what to do otherwise with this powerpoint.

Hello Everyone...So this is my first blog EVER. I never actually even read a blog, however I am going to try and make a great one! In the beginning, I was extremely confused about World 203 Media and I am still confused, but not as much. I feel like there arre just so many groups and links and social networking. I understand that professor wants us to learn about the web 2.0, however I feel strongly about the use of networking in this class. I do not particularly like all the accounts that we had to make, I feel like too much of my information is on the web and that some were not even necessary. As far as what we are learning, I find most of it intersting and I have learned so much from the class. I hope that once we pick the teacher mentor from the list, I will understand better what we are supposed to do with that. All in all, I understand most of it, but sometimes in class I think... What is going on and what am I going to be tested on?.. there is just too much information flying around!!
